Who we are
Based in California, Ahbab Al-Habib (Lovers of the Beloved) is a Nasheed group on a mission to spread love for Prophet Muhammad ﷺ through the beautiful art of classical Inshād (spiritual odes).
In a world where love can feel scarce, our aim is to fill society with affection for the most remarkable human to grace this earth — our Muhammad ﷺ.
Ahbab Al-Habib’s members have dedicated themselves to years of study in this art under the guidance of distinguished munshideen (masters of spiritual odes) from Syria and Jordan. Their mentors include Shaykh Samer Nashar, Shaykh Zuhair Raslan, Shaykh Muhammad Adel, Shaykh Jihad Al-Kalouti, Shaykh Abdullah Adel, Shaykh Abdulrahman Sha’ar, Shaykh Salah Al-Kurdy, and Ustadth Omar Helal.
Did you know the name “Muhammad” translates to “The Praised One” in English? In the Quran (33:56), Allah Almighty blesses the Prophet and urges the believers to do the same. This divine directive is the reason why Ahbab Al-Habib exists.
